However, the Telemedicine network has been operating since 2013. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-42124585 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no wpr-equal-height-no\" data-id=\"42124585\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-29f4ecb8\" data-id=\"29f4ecb8\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b95c097 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1b95c097\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The National Center of Technological Excellence in Health (CENETEC), reported part of the strategy that has been implemented by the health authorities of the State of Mexico. It all starts from the Telemedicine Network of the State of Mexico, which is responsible for providing remote healthcare services, following various objectives, such as the exchange of data to make diagnoses, prescribe treatments, prevent illnesses and promote the development and professionalization of healthcare professionals.<\/p><p>The Network has four procedures linked to Digital Health that are aligned with CENETEC and the General Directorate of Innovation of the Government of the State of Mexico:<\/p><ul><li>Medical care by scheduled teleconsultation<\/li><li>Medical care by immediate teleconsultation<\/li><li>Medical care through telepresence visits<\/li><li>Training of medical unit personnel by tele-education.<\/li><\/ul><p>As part of the COVID-19 strategy, the<strong> \"Policies for the Provision of Medical Services to COVID-19 Patients\" <\/strong>were implemented in all the units belonging to the Telemedicine Network. Among the actions carried out at the first level of care, a pilot program was implemented that includes a web platform in the following portal <a href=\"https:\/\/digital.salud.edomex.gob.mx\/\">digital.salud.edomex.gob.mx<\/a> and a mobile application for Android and iOS. As described on the site: \"It provides a way for patients and healthcare providers to communicate directly and securely, through a communication system via chat, call or video\".<\/p><p>However, the app's potential lies in being a tool for detecting suspicious cases and classifying patient risk in real time. The most common symptoms can also be obtained to determine the severity of the disease and to prepare in advance the health resources that will be necessary to attend the population.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-69c50b4 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no wpr-equal-height-no\" data-id=\"69c50b4\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-60d4423d\" data-id=\"60d4423d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3a0d4f4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3a0d4f4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Additionally, they have a remote monitoring system, especially to recognize the risk of patients and prevent complications and avoid saturation of health services. Through the screening questionnaire, the intermediate or high risk of COVID-19 is determined in order to follow the corresponding treatment.<\/p><p>As with patients, the monitoring of supplies is also done through the web platform or the app. From there, medical inventories can be updated to quickly detect the lack of supplies and promote coordination between hospitals in the network.<\/p><p>The telemedicine network began operations in 2013. One of the main innovations being the implementation of semi-presential consultations through telepresence robots between 2013 and 2018.<\/p><p>However, despite the strategy and the situation due to the health emergency, 2020, was not the year in which more telemedicine consultations were performed in Edomex. Official figures indicate that 4,140 teleconsultations were performed in 2020 and 6,237 in 2019, for a cumulative total since 2013 of 31, 695 remote consultations. Sin embargo, la red de Telemedicina, se encuentra funcionando desde el 2013. La Red cuenta con cuatro procedimientos ligados a la Salud Digital que se encuentran alineados con el CENETEC y la Direcci\u00f3n General de Innovaci\u00f3n del Gobierno del Estado de M\u00e9xico: Atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica por teleconsulta programada Atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica por teleconsulta inmediata Atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica mediante visitas por telepresencia Capacitaci\u00f3n del personal de las unidades m\u00e9dicas por tele ense\u00f1anza Como parte de la estrategia ante COVID-19 se implementaron las \u201cPol\u00edticas para la Prestaci\u00f3n de Servicios M\u00e9dicos a Pacientes COVID-19\u201d en todas las unidades pertenecientes a la Red de Telemedicina. Dentro de las acciones realizadas en el primer nivel de atenci\u00f3n se implement\u00f3 un programa piloto que incluye una plataforma web en el siguiente portal digital.salud.edomex.gob.mx y una aplicaci\u00f3n m\u00f3vil para Android y para iOS. Que seg\u00fan describen en el sitio: \u201cProporciona una forma para que pacientes y proveedores de salud se comuniquen directamente de forma segura, mediante un sistema de comunicaci\u00f3n v\u00eda chat, llamada o video\u201d. Sin embargo, el potencial de la app consiste en ser una herramienta para la detecci\u00f3n de casos sospechosos y clasificar el riesgo del paciente en tiempo real. Adem\u00e1s, ofrece la comunicaci\u00f3n de los pacientes directamente con los servicios de salud. A trav\u00e9s de esta estrategia tambi\u00e9n se ha implementado un mapa de calor, que permite obtener en tiempo real el brote de contagios en determinadas zonas geogr\u00e1ficas. As\u00ed como la obtenci\u00f3n de los s\u00edntomas m\u00e1s comunes, para determinar la gravedad de la enfermedad y preparar anticipadamente los recursos de salud que ser\u00e1n necesarios para atender a la poblaci\u00f3n. Adicionalmente, cuentan con un sistema de acompa\u00f1amiento remoto, especialmente para reconocer el riesgo de los pacientes y prevenir complicaciones y evitar la saturaci\u00f3n de los servicios de salud. A trav\u00e9s del cuestionario de tamizaje se determina el riesgo, intermedio o alto de COVID-19 para seguir el tratamiento correspondiente. De igual forma que con los pacientes, el monitoreo de los insumos tambi\u00e9n se realiza a trav\u00e9s de la plataforma web o la app. Desde ah\u00ed se pueden actualizar los inventarios m\u00e9dicos para detectar \u00e1gilmente la falta de insumos y promover la coordinaci\u00f3n entre hospitales de la red. La red de telemedicina comenz\u00f3 operaciones desde el 2013. Siendo una de las principales innovaciones la aplicaci\u00f3n de consultas semipresenciales a trav\u00e9s de robots de telepresencia entre 2013 y 2018. Sin embargo, a pesar de la estrategia y de la situaci\u00f3n por la emergencia sanitaria, el 2020, no fue el a\u00f1o en el que m\u00e1s consultas por telemedicina se realizaron en el Edomex. Las cifras oficiales indican que se realizaron 4,140 teleconsultas en 2020 y 6,237 en 2019, para un total acumulado desde 2013 de 31, 695 consultas remotas. &nbsp;En cuanto a las sesiones de tele ense\u00f1anza en los hospitales de la red, en 2020 se realizaron 508, por 537 del a\u00f1o anterior, sin embargo, en 2020 se alcanzaron m\u00e1s de 3 mil en el total acumulado que se registra desde 2013.
