The Departmental Health Service (Sedes) La Paz enabled two websites that redirect to a WhatsApp chatbot, allowing users to receive medical advice and schedule appointments more easily.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Given the sustained increase in COVID-19 infections in Bolivia since mid-December 2020, and after reaching a peak of daily infections in January, health services have implemented new measures for the timely detection of contacts and to avoid hospital overcrowding. Previously, local health services had turned to Digital Health solutions, such as chatbots or consultations via telemedicine.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

In this way, the Departmental Health Service (Sedes) has once again implemented specialized telemedicine services for confirmed and suspected cases of COVID-19 in La Paz, Bolivia. In order to do so, they have enabled two new communication channels on the Internet, through the following web sites: www.medico.com.bo<\/a> and www.bot.com.bo<\/a>The information was confirmed by Ramiro Narv\u00e1ez, the director of Sedes in La Paz: \"We are reactivating the telemedicine platform, at the care level\".<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Both websites redirect the user to a WhatsApp chatbot, in which they will be able to perform a quick test of probability of having contracted the virus. Through this system and depending on the test result, it is also possible to schedule a medical consultation with a professional by selecting a time and date.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

As part of the test, it will be determined whether the user has experienced symptoms compatible with COVID-19 and a follow-up on possible treatment will be carried out. El Servicio Departamental de Salud (Sedes) La Paz habilit\u00f3 dos sitios web que redirigen a un chatbot de WhatsApp, para que los usuarios reciban asesoramiento m\u00e9dico y puedan agendar citas con mayor facilidad. Ante el alza sostenida de contagios de COVID-19 en Bolivia desde mediados de diciembre de 2020, y tras haber alcanzado un m\u00e1ximo de contagios diarios en enero, los servicios de salud han implementado nuevas medidas para la detecci\u00f3n oportuna de contactos y evitar la sobreocupaci\u00f3n hospitalaria. Previamente, los servicios de salud locales hab\u00edan acudido a soluciones de Salud Digital, como chatbots o consultas a trav\u00e9s de telemedicina.  De esta forma el Servicio Departamental de Salud (Sedes) ha vuelto a implementar servicios de telemedicina especializado para casos confirmados y sospechosos de COVID-19 en La Paz, Bolivia. Para ello han habilitado dos nuevos canales de comunicaci\u00f3n en internet, a trav\u00e9s de las siguientes p\u00e1ginas: www.medico.com.bo y www.bot.com.bo.  La informaci\u00f3n fue confirmada por Ramiro Narv\u00e1ez, el director de Sedes en La Paz: \u201cEstamos reactivando la plataforma de telemedicina, en el nivel de atenci\u00f3n\u201d. Ambos sitios web redirigen al usuario a un chatbot de WhatsApp, en el cual podr\u00e1n realizar un test r\u00e1pido de probabilidad de haber contra\u00eddo el virus. A trav\u00e9s de este sistema y dependiendo del resultado del test tambi\u00e9n es posible agendar una consulta m\u00e9dica con un profesional al seleccionar una hora y fecha. Dentro del test, se determinar\u00e1 si el usuario ha experimentado s\u00edntomas compatibles con COVID-19 y se llevar\u00e1 a cabo un seguimiento sobre el posible tratamiento. Si el paciente experimenta s\u00edntomas m\u00e1s graves, se le solicitar\u00e1 la informaci\u00f3n para enviar una brigada para realizar la toma de muestras para una prueba PCR que confirme su contagio.
