This technology developed in Peru has been implemented in health centers such as the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN) and the National Institute of Children's Health in San Borja. Through the virtual reality software (VR), developed in Peru, VR Pain FeelsGood, seeks to reduce the sensations of pain to children who are being treated for cancer and other medical procedures. The level of stress and anxiety is reduced due to the inverted environment generated by the use of the technology, which consists in a virtual reality viewer and headphones.<\/p>

According to the official newspaper El Peruano, this tool allows users to change their sense of temporality, making them feel that less time has passed during long medical procedures.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

VR Pain FeelsGood is a beneficiary of the Inn\u00f3vate Per\u00fa program, an initiative of the Peruvian government for the development of entrepreneurship, productive development and institutions of the ecosystem. The results we have had have been very favorable. \"Currently we have impacted more than 10 thousand painless procedures, where we have also managed to reduce stress and anxiety levels in venipuncture procedures. The research stage included the advice of health specialists, for the identification of an effective procedure. After deciding to use RV technology, pilot tests were carried out at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (NEN) and the Neoplastic National Institute of Children's Health in San Borja. \"The care was initially tested on children with cancer, since children with this disease are pricked many times. But currently it is also used for children with hemophilia and in bone marrow transplants,\" said Rodriguez.<\/p>

Rodriguez accepts that the innovation is focused on acute pain and its control or reduction; however, they plan to carry out a similar technology, but one that is applicable to chronic pain, for example, to patients with burns. Esta tecnolog\u00eda desarrollada en Per\u00fa ha sido implementada en centros de salud como el Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neopl\u00e1sicas (INEN) y en el Instituto Nacional de Salud del Ni\u00f1o en San Borja. La realidad virtual, busca reducir la sensaci\u00f3n de dolor en los pacientes a trav\u00e9s de diferentes t\u00e9cnicas de realidad virtual. A trav\u00e9s del software de realidad virtual (VR), desarrollado en Per\u00fa, VR Pain FeelsGood, buscan reducir las sensaciones de dolor a ni\u00f1os que se encuentran en tratamiento contra el c\u00e1ncer y otros procedimientos m\u00e9dicos. El nivel de estr\u00e9s y ansiedad se reduce debido al entorno invertido que genera el uso de la tecnolog\u00eda, que consiste en un visor de realidad virtual y unos aud\u00edfonos. Seg\u00fan el Diario oficial El Peruano, esta herramienta permite cambiar la sensaci\u00f3n de temporalidad de los usuarios, logrando que sienta que pas\u00f3 menos tiempo durante procedimientos m\u00e9dicos largos. VR Pain FeelsGood es beneficiaria del programa Inn\u00f3vate Per\u00fa, una iniciativa del gobierno peruano para el desarrollo de emprendimiento, desarrollo productivo y de instituciones del ecosistema. Posteriormente al decidir que se utilizar\u00eda tecnolog\u00eda de VR realizaron prueba piloto en el Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neopl\u00e1sicas (NEN) y el Neoplastias Instituto Nacional de Salud del Ni\u00f1o en San Borja. “Las atenciones en principio fueron probadas en ni\u00f1os con c\u00e1ncer, ya que los ni\u00f1os con esta enfermedad son pinchados muchas veces. Pero actualmente es utilizado tambi\u00e9n para ni\u00f1os con hemofilia y en trasplantes de medula \u00f3sea\u201d, coment\u00f3 Rodr\u00edguez. Rodr\u00edguez acepta que la innovaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 enfocada para el dolor agudo y su control o reducci\u00f3n, sin embargo, tienen planeado llevar a cabo una tecnolog\u00eda similar, pero que sea aplicable al dolor cr\u00f3nico, por ejemplo, a pacientes con quemaduras. De esta forma, en los pr\u00f3ximos meses comenzar\u00e1n a desarrollar tecnolog\u00eda especializada para la rehabilitaci\u00f3n fisioterap\u00e9utica mediante tecnolog\u00edas como la telemedicina.
