The Stop TB Partnership is an initiative created in 2000 for the eradication of tuberculosis in public health systems. Until 2015 it was administered by the World Health Organization (WHO), currently the United Nations Office for Project Services is the lead agency.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Digital Health Technology Hub, (DHT), aims to end tuberculosis by 2030 through sustainable evidence and technologies based on the empowerment of marginalized communities.<\/p>

The DHT has adopted different Digital Health initiatives and strategies to meet its short-, medium- and long-term goals and objectives:<\/p>

  1. Build and expand the information, evidence, knowledge, and experience of the appropriate use of digital health technologies<\/li>
  2. Lay the necessary foundation in TB affected countries for the optimal scale-up, equitable access, and appropriate use of digital health technologies<\/li>
  3. Create a space among country program implementing partners, and communities affected by TB and civil society to learn about evidence-based digital health technologies for the TB response and provide technical and implementation support to implement and scale up these tools.<\/li>
  4. Catalyze the development of innovative digital health technologies by providing support to small- and medium enterprises and start-ups, particularly from TB affected countries.<\/li><\/ol>

    Among its areas of action are already working on computer-assisted reading software based on Artificial Intelligence, which seeks to detect radiological signs related to tuberculosis through chest X-rays and thus improve diagnostic capabilities. They have also started to apply monitoring tools that are managed by communities affected by this disease, it is about people-centered care based on respect for rights and social responsibility of the community. In addition, they have implemented connectivity solutions for rapid sharing of diagnostic test results and appropriate treatment of patients.<\/p>

    Finally, they emphasize the importance of the application of e-Health technologies in the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic: \u201cAs the COVID-19 pandemic spreads globally, the disruption in routine health services and the need for social distancing make it particularly challenging for TB programmes to carry out routine operations and to provide the necessary care for people and communities affected by TB.     Stop TB Partnership es una iniciativa creada en el a\u00f1o 2000 para la erradicaci\u00f3n de la tuberculosis en los sistemas p\u00fablicos de salud. Stop TB Partnership, es una iniciativa para la eliminaci\u00f3n de la tuberculosis que cuenta con una visi\u00f3n con enfoque en Salud Digital. Cuentan con un centro de tecnolog\u00eda especializado para ello ya que la alianza considera que las tecnolog\u00edas sanitarias en salud cuentan con el potencial para transformar los sistemas sanitarios y cambiar la vida de aquellas personas afectadas por tuberculosis. \u201cStop TB Partnership ha estado a la vanguardia en la promoci\u00f3n, el abastecimiento, la evaluaci\u00f3n y la introducci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas de salud digital durante los \u00faltimos siete a\u00f1os y, durante COVID-19, ha estado trabajando en estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n con socios globales y nacionales para escalar estas soluciones y para mitigar las interrupciones en los servicios rutinarios de tuberculosis,\u201d mencionan en su sitio oficial. Crear un espacio entre los socios implementadores de programas del pa\u00eds y las comunidades afectadas por la tuberculosis y la sociedad civil para aprender sobre tecnolog\u00edas de salud digital basadas en evidencia para la respuesta a la tuberculosis y brindar apoyo t\u00e9cnico y de implementaci\u00f3n para implementar y ampliar estas herramientas. Catalizar el desarrollo de tecnolog\u00edas sanitarias digitales innovadoras proporcionando apoyo a peque\u00f1as y medianas empresas y nuevas empresas, en particular de los pa\u00edses afectados por la tuberculosis. \u00a0 Entre sus \u00e1reas de acci\u00f3n ya se encuentran trabajando en software de lectura asistido por computadora que se basa en Inteligencia Artificial, el cual busca detectar signos radiol\u00f3gicos relacionados a tuberculosis a trav\u00e9s de radiograf\u00edas de t\u00f3rax y as\u00ed mejorar la capacidad de diagn\u00f3stico. Tambi\u00e9n han comenzado a aplicar herramientas de monitoreo que son manejadas por comunidades afectadas por esta enfermedad, se trata de atenci\u00f3n centrada en personas y basado en el respeto de derechos y responsabilidad social de la comunidad. Adem\u00e1s, han implementado soluciones de conectividad para el intercambio r\u00e1pido de resultados de pruebas de diagn\u00f3stico y dar un tratamiento adecuado a los pacientes. Por \u00faltimo, resaltan la importancia de la aplicaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas de Salud Digital en el contexto actual de la pandemia por COVID-19: “A medida que la pandemia de COVID-19 se propaga a nivel mundial, la interrupci\u00f3n de los servicios de salud de rutina y la necesidad de distanciamiento social hacen que sea particularmente dif\u00edcil para los programas de tuberculosis realizar operaciones de rutina y brindar la atenci\u00f3n necesaria a las personas y comunidades afectadas por la tuberculosis.
