The director of Telesalud, Esteban Granada Aguirre reported on the results of the telehealth project, which was made possible thanks to the collaboration of the University of Caldas, the Territorial Health Directorate and the government of Caldas.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak in Colombia, the government of the department of Caldas, began a collaboration with Telesalud of the University of Caldas and the Territorial Directorate of Health, for the implementation of a comprehensive strategy of telemedicine and digital health services through different platforms and channels.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

This alliance managed to benefit people between 4 and 88 years old through the different services of teleconsultation or tele-education, free of charge for all the population that requested it. According to information from the health authorities in Caldas, this strategy has benefited more than 211,000 people. Regarding other medical specialties that had to be temporarily suspended when the contagion started, channels were created to continue the attention to patients, such as the telepsychology programme of Telesalud of the University of Caldas, which managed to attend to about 2 thousand 800 patients.<\/p>

In addition, in the last weeks of the year, they managed to take Telesalud services to remote locations, such as the Hojas Anchas village in the municipality of Sup\u00eda in the northwestern region of Caldas. Where more than 20 patients had access to a personalized attention with specialists in their pathologies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Also, the population of older adults benefited, since the Centers of Promotion and Social Protection of the 27 municipalities carried out more than 300 attentions in general medicine, internal medicine and neurology.<\/p>

In addition, with respect to the health personnel involved in this project, more than 3,000 professionals were trained through the courses: COVID-19 Care, the Telehealth programs of the University of Caldas and courses in ICU by the University of Manizales.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

El Director de Telesalud, Esteban Granada Aguirre inform\u00f3 sobre los resultados del proyecto de telesalud, que fue posible gracias a la colaboraci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Caldas, la Direcci\u00f3n Territorial de Salud y el gobierno de Caldas. Desde inicios del brote de coronavirus en Colombia, el gobierno del departamento de Caldas, comenz\u00f3 una colaboraci\u00f3n con Telesalud de la Universidad de Caldas y la Direcci\u00f3n Territorial de Salud, para la implementaci\u00f3n de una estrategia integral de telemedicina y servicios de salud digital a trav\u00e9s de distintas plataformas y canales. Esta alianza logr\u00f3 beneficiar personas de entre 4 y 88 a\u00f1os a trav\u00e9s de los distintos servicios de teleconsultas o de teleeducaci\u00f3n, de forma gratuita para toda la poblaci\u00f3n que lo solicit\u00f3. Seg\u00fan informaci\u00f3n de las autoridades de salud en Caldas, esta estrategia ha beneficiado a m\u00e1s de 211 mil personas. Con respecto a otras especialidades m\u00e9dicas que tuvieron que ser suspendidas de forma temporal cuando iniciaron los contagios, se crearon canales para continuar la atenci\u00f3n a los pacientes, como la tele psicolog\u00eda de Telesalud de la Universidad de Caldas, logr\u00f3 atender a cerca de 2 mil 800 pacientes. Adem\u00e1s, en las \u00faltimas semanas del a\u00f1o, lograron llevar los servicios de Telesalud a localidades remotas, como la vereda Hojas Anchas del municipio de Sup\u00eda en la regi\u00f3n noroccidente de Caldas. En donde m\u00e1s de 20 pacientes tuvieron acceso a una atenci\u00f3n personalizada con especialistas en sus patolog\u00edas. Tambi\u00e9n, la poblaci\u00f3n de adultos mayores se vio beneficiada, ya que los Centros de Promoci\u00f3n y Protecci\u00f3n Social de los 27 municipios realizaron m\u00e1s de 300 atenciones en medicina general, medicina interna y neurolog\u00eda. Adem\u00e1s, con respecto al personal de salud involucrado en este proyecto, m\u00e1s de 3 mil profesionales fueron capacitados mediante los cursos: Atenci\u00f3n COVID-19, los programas de Telesalud de la Universidad de Caldas y cursos en UCI por la Universidad de Manizales.
