As well as to decrease the adverse economic effects.<\/p><p>In May, the EC, relaunched the Horizon 2020 call, looking for innovative initiatives and projects in response to the COVID-19 in particular those based on AI and digital tools.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-76f2055 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no wpr-equal-height-no\" data-id=\"76f2055\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-4f40c1c\" data-id=\"4f40c1c\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ed338e2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ed338e2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In October, the EC held a special session to launch the 13 projects based on technologies for health. These projects represent a new approach through Digital Health and AI, for the protection of workers, and the early detection of COVID-19 and prevention of further infections. The initiative included 133 organizations from 25 countries. The projects will work over the next two years, and the EC contemplates that they will begin to be developed in the next six to 12 months.<\/p><p>Among the projects, two are specialized in providing remote medical care through telemedicine, <strong>ICU4Covid<\/strong>is an intensive care system and <strong>ENVISION<\/strong> is a real-time monitoring application through calls, which seeks to be a support in decision making through the care of patients in ICU. Finally, <strong>VASCOVID<\/strong>, is a monitoring platform, as the ones mentioned above, this is also related to telemedicine techniques for ICU patients since it monitors when patients need artificial ventilation.<\/p><p>The following three projects also combine AI tools with telehealth and telemedicine techniques. Through body temperature, blood oxygen level, heart rate, and the patient's respiratory cycle <strong>PyXy.AI<\/strong>, an AI-based system, monitors the evolution of chronic and cardiopulmonary patients, improving treatment and management of the disease. En octubre, la CE realiz\u00f3 una sesi\u00f3n especial para el lanzamiento de los 13 proyectos basados en tecnolog\u00edas para la salud. Estos proyectos representan un nuevo acercamiento a trav\u00e9s de Salud Digital e IA, para la protecci\u00f3n de trabajadores, y la detecci\u00f3n temprana del COVID-19 y prevenir m\u00e1s contagios. La iniciativa incluy\u00f3 a 133 organizaciones de 25 pa\u00edses. Los proyectos trabajar\u00e1n los pr\u00f3ximos dos a\u00f1os, y la CE contempla que comiencen a desarrollarse en los pr\u00f3ximos seis a 12 meses. Entre los proyectos, dos est\u00e1n especializados a brindar atenci\u00f3n medica remota a trav\u00e9s de la telemedicina, ICU4Covid, es un sistema de cuidados intensivos y ENVISION es una aplicaci\u00f3n de monitoreo en tiempo real a trav\u00e9s de llamadas, que busca ser un apoyo en la toma de decisiones a trav\u00e9s del cuidado de los pacientes en UCI. Este \u00faltimo proyecto, ya se ha ejecutado de forma exitosa en Alemania, adem\u00e1s la CE busca integrar un paquete de datos basado en IA para realizar predicciones en pacientes en estas condiciones. Cuatro proyectos est\u00e1n destinados al desarrollo de dispositivos de diagn\u00f3stico de COVID-19, para reducir gastos y tiempo de espera. COVIRNA, por ejemplo, es una prueba diagn\u00f3stica que busca pronosticar a trav\u00e9s de variables cardiovasculares y sus biomarcadores a trav\u00e9s de IA.\u00a0 IRIS-COV, por otra parte, es un dispositivo port\u00e1til para la detecci\u00f3n colorim\u00e9trica cuantitativa del virus SARS-CoV-2. CorDial-S, es tambi\u00e9n una prueba port\u00e1til que detecta la presencia del virus en el organismo mediante pruebas nasales y de saliva. Por \u00faltimo, VASCOVID, es una plataforma de monitoreo, como las mencionadas anteriormente, esta tambi\u00e9n se relaciona a t\u00e9cnicas de telemedicina para pacientes de UCI ya que monitorea cuando los pacientes necesitan ventilaci\u00f3n artificial. Los siguientes tres proyectos tambi\u00e9n combinan herramientas de IA con t\u00e9cnicas de telesalud y telemedicina. A trav\u00e9s de la temperatura corporal, el nivel de ox\u00edgeno en sangre, frecuencia cardiaca y el ciclo respiratorio del paciente PyXy.AI, un sistema basado en IA, vigila la evoluci\u00f3n de pacientes cr\u00f3nicos y cardiopulmonares, mejorando el tratamiento y manejo de la enfermedad. Por otra parte, icovid, ofrece an\u00e1lisis de tomograf\u00eda computarizada de t\u00f3rax mediante IA, para un diagn\u00f3stico r\u00e1pido para pacientes sospechosos de COVID-19. ESSENCE, impulsa un nuevo modelo de atenci\u00f3n domiciliaria, bas\u00e1ndose en herramientas de monitoreo por telemedicina y teleasistencia. Dos iniciativas destacan por sus caracter\u00edsticas relacionadas al gas y al aire. PORSAV, cuenta con certificaci\u00f3n CE para ser implementado en hospitales alrededor del mundo, a trav\u00e9s de im\u00e1genes especializadas detecta fugas de gases de pacientes COVID-19 con carga viral, para ello desarrollaron un dispositivo que filtra las fugas. CleanAir, es un proyecto similar, que desarrolla sistemas de descontaminaci\u00f3n del aire de igual forma que el proyecto anterior para proteger a los profesionales de salud y los pacientes del riego de ser contagiados. Los \u00faltimos dos proyectos son INNO4COV y COVID-X, el primero se trata de un centro de prevenci\u00f3n y vigilancia contra COVID-19; el segundo es un v\u00ednculo entre proveedores de tecnolog\u00edas y herramientas de Salud Digital y el sistema de salud.
