Guillermo Gran Benavente Hospital has been part of the Tele Health Program of the Concepci\u00f3n Health Service since 2012. This year, following the pandemic, they have managed to follow up on patients through various electronic and digital channels, in addition to the teleconsultation specialties of teledermatology and telenephrology, previously established. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The substitute director of Care Management of Concepci\u00f3n's health services, Dr. Alejandro Torche, was questioned by local media of Concepci\u00f3n on the importance of telemedicine in Chile during the pandemic, and the evolution and development of Digital Health and Telehealth in recent years especially that region.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

It does not meet all the needs of the population, but it does come to a specific group, to solve connectivity problems, problems of approach,\" he explained of the progress made during the COVID-19 pandemic in these types of services that provide remote care.<\/p>

Dr. Torche mentioned that he cannot set aside the pandemic, as the situation promoted the use of telemedicine services among the population, and stressed that the situation caused some barriers between doctors and patients to break down in the use of these services and technologies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Among the benefits he highlighted that patients can more easily have specialized health care services, and more closeness to their doctors and specialists. El Hospital Guillermo Gran Benavente, es desde el 2012 parte del Programa de Tele Salud del Servicio de Salud Concepci\u00f3n. Este a\u00f1o a ra\u00edz de la pandemia, han logrado dar seguimiento a pacientes a trav\u00e9s de diversos canales electr\u00f3nicos y digitales, adem\u00e1s de las especialidades de teleconsulta de teledermatolog\u00eda y telenefrolog\u00eda, previamente establecidas. El subdirector subrogante de Gesti\u00f3n Asistencial de los servicios de salud de Concepci\u00f3n, el Dr. Alejandro Torche, fue entrevistado por medios locales de Concepci\u00f3n sobre la importancia de la telemedicina en Chile durante la pandemia, y la evoluci\u00f3n y desarrollo que hab\u00eda tenido la Salud Digital y la Telesalud en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os especialmente dicha regi\u00f3n. \u201cSe impuls\u00f3 verdaderamente muy brusco, y viene para quedarse. No viene a suplir todas las necesidades de la poblaci\u00f3n, pero s\u00ed viene a un grupo espec\u00edfico, a solucionarle problemas de conectividad, problemas de acercamiento\u201d, explic\u00f3 sobre el avance obtenido durante la pandemia por COVID-19 en este tipo de servicios que brindan atenci\u00f3n remota. El Dr. Torche mencion\u00f3 que no puede dejar de lado la pandemia, ya que la situaci\u00f3n promovi\u00f3 el uso de los servicios de telemedicina entre la poblaci\u00f3n, adem\u00e1s destac\u00f3 que la situaci\u00f3n provoc\u00f3 que se rompieran algunas barreras que exist\u00edan entre m\u00e9dicos y pacientes en el uso de estos servicios y tecnolog\u00edas. Entre los beneficios resalt\u00f3 que los pacientes pueden disponer con mayor facilidad de servicios de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica especializada, y m\u00e1s cercan\u00eda a sus m\u00e9dicos y especialistas. Adem\u00e1s, refiri\u00f3 que es importante que los pacientes y la poblaci\u00f3n en general, vean a la telemedicina como una atenci\u00f3n o servicio complementario a la medicina tradicional y las consultas normales, no como un remplazo.
