The development and implementation of measures against COVID-19 through virtual education services for health professionals, free telemedicine care and the development of health software, were presented as a positive experience at the University of Caldas during a virtual session. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Telesalud, the digital health department of the University of Caldas and the Faculty of Health Sciences, presented positive results on the experience in the application of several strategies in the face of the health emergency.<\/p>

The Government of Caldas and the Territorial Health Directorate of Caldas, developed an agreement with the University of Caldas, given the rise in COVID-19 infections in March and April, which has benefited the people of the department.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Esteban Granada, Director of Telesalud, recognized the commitment of Telesalud collaborators, who have managed to offer timely services to the population, being rated positively. According to Granada, 87% of the patients considered the service provided as excellent and 13% as good.\u00a0<\/p>

In addition to actions in telemedicine and mobile health. Telesalud has implemented a virtual education strategy, which has benefited more than 2,500 professionals who have been trained. Granada recognized the work of Telehealth in Colombia, which for more than 19 years has benefited students, teachers and the general population not only in Caldas but also in Manizales. On the other hand, Montoya recognized the work of Telesalud, in its virtual education process, \u201cI have participated from the mother-child approach and in recent years Telehealth has trained more than 10.000 people in defense of children under 5 years old, which has had a very big impact.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

El desarrollo e implementaci\u00f3n de medidas ante el COVID-19 a trav\u00e9s de los servicios de educaci\u00f3n virtual a profesionales de la salud, atenciones de telemedicina gratuitas y el desarrollo de software en salud, fueron presentados como una experiencia positiva en la Universidad de Caldas durante una sesi\u00f3n virtual. El departamento de Telesalud de la Universidad de Caldas y la Facultad de Ciencias para la Salud, present\u00f3 resultados positivos sobre la experiencia en la aplicaci\u00f3n de diversas estrategias ante la emergencia sanitaria. La Gobernaci\u00f3n de Caldas y la Direcci\u00f3n Territorial de Salud de Caldas, desarrollaron un convenio con la Universidad de Caldas, ante el alza de contagios de COVID-19 en marzo y abril, lo que ha beneficiado a la poblaci\u00f3n del departamento. Esteban Granada, director de Telesalud, reconoci\u00f3 el compromiso de los colaboradores de Telesalud, que han logrado ofrecer servicios oportunos a la poblaci\u00f3n, siendo calificados de manera positiva. Seg\u00fan Granada el 87% de los pacientes consider\u00f3 el servicio brindado como excelente y el 13% como bueno.  Adem\u00e1s de las acciones en telemedicina y salud m\u00f3vil. Telesalud, ha implementado una estrategia de Educaci\u00f3n virtual, la cual ha beneficiado a m\u00e1s de 2 mil 500 profesionales que han sido capacitados. Adem\u00e1s, ha desarrollado software para la unificaci\u00f3n de datos. \u201cEn un momento tan dif\u00edcil como el que se est\u00e1 viviendo, Telesalud es una vivencia esperanzadora, ya que han aprovechado una dificultad para hacer algo positivo en beneficio de la poblaci\u00f3n\u201d, coment\u00f3 el Dr. Carlos Alberto Montoya, durante la sesi\u00f3n. Granada reconoci\u00f3 el trabajo de Telesalud en Colombia, que durante m\u00e1s de 19 a\u00f1os ha beneficiado a estudiantes, docentes y poblaci\u00f3n en general no solo de Caldas sino de Manizales.
