The Family Health Centers (CESFAM) Ancora, were established in 2004, thanks to an agreement between the Ministry of Health and the South East Metropolitan Health Service of Santiago de Chile with the Catholic University of Chile, to manage and build these centers and incorporate them into the public health system. Its objective is to contribute to the development and improvement of primary care in Chile. There are currently two CESFAM Ancora in Puente Alto and one in La Pintana, both localities belonging to the Metropolitan Region of Santiago.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Since May, CESAFAM Ancora has carried out telehealth projects for the control, prevention and mitigation of COVID-19 in the region. This time, Chile's Minister of Health Enrique Paris reported that CESFAM's new model of care was based on telemedicine. \u201cThis progress is very important; telemedicine and prevent patients from having to come to the office and instead be cared for by a computer, just as we saw with a patient who is being monitored because she is with coronavirus. That is, fulfilling the traceability we are so interested in,\u201d the minister explained.<\/p>

The Telesalud system, contemplates the preference to remote care to avoid physical contact in the centers. Through telemedicine and tele-care services, CESFAM will allow online consultations, guidance on COVID-19 and attention in different specialties.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

One of the objectives is to increase the provision of services by 20%, as well as to improve access to care for priority groups such as children and adolescents, older adults, pregnant women and people with disabilities. In addition, they hope that with this new model it will be possible to solve procedures without the need to attend CESFAM and thus improve access to information and interactions between users and health personnel.<\/p>

By the end of the year the project must be operating in its entirety, even the authorities estimate that once the COVID-19 emergency passes, 30% of the care is remote.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Este modelo se mantendr\u00e1 incluso despu\u00e9s de la emergencia sanitaria por COVID-19, as\u00ed buscan evitar desplazamientos de los pacientes para tramites o consultas m\u00e9dicas que pueden realizarse de forma remota. Los Centros de Salud Familiar (CESFAM) \u00c1ncora, nacieron en 2004, gracias a un acuerdo entre el Ministerio de Salud y el Servicio de Salud Metropolitano Sur Oriente de Santiago de Chile con la Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile, para administrar y construir estos centros e incorporarlos al sistema p\u00fablico de salud. Su objetivo es contribuir al desarrollo y mejoramiento de la atenci\u00f3n primaria en Chile. Actualmente existen dos CESFAM Ancora en Puente Alto y uno en La Pintana, ambas localidades pertenecientes a la Regi\u00f3n Metropolitana de Santiago. Los CESAFAM \u00c1ncora, han realizado desde mayo, proyectos de telesalud para el control, prevenci\u00f3n y mitigaci\u00f3n del COVID-19 en la regi\u00f3n. Esta vez, el Ministro de Salud de Chile, Enrique Par\u00eds comunic\u00f3 que el nuevo modelo atenci\u00f3n de los CESFAM se basara en telemedicina. \u201cEste avance es muy importante; hacer telemedicina y evitar que los pacientes tengan que venir al consultorio y, en su lugar, ser atendidos mediante un computador, tal como lo vimos reci\u00e9n con una paciente que est\u00e1 siendo vigilada porque est\u00e1 con coronavirus. Es decir, cumpliendo la trazabilidad que nos interesa tanto\u201d, explic\u00f3 el ministro. El sistema de Telesalud, contempla la preferencia a la atenci\u00f3n remota para evitar contacto f\u00edsico en los centros. A trav\u00e9s de servicios de telemedicina y tele atenciones los CESFAM permitir\u00e1n agendar consultas en l\u00ednea, orientaci\u00f3n sobre COVID-19 y atenciones en diferentes especialidades.  Uno de los objetivos es aumentar en 20% la prestaci\u00f3n de servicios, as\u00ed como mejorar el acceso a la atenci\u00f3n a grupos prioritarios como ni\u00f1os y adolescentes, adultos mayores, mujeres embarazadas y personas en situaci\u00f3n de discapacidad. Adem\u00e1s, esperan que con este nuevo modelo sea posible solucionar tramites sin necesidad de asistir al CESFAM y as\u00ed mejorar el acceso a la informaci\u00f3n e interacciones entre los usuarios y el personal de salud. A finales de a\u00f1o el proyecto debe estar operando en su totalidad, incluso las autoridades estiman que una vez que pase la emergencia por COVID-19, el 30% de las atenciones sean remotas.
