The Emergency Medical Care Service (SAME) of the City of Buenos Aires agrees with Microsoft and an Argentine technology company to equip its mobile unit for the next three years. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The SAME depends on the Ministry of Health of the City of Buenos Aires, and handles the pre-hospital emergencies or emergencies of the inhabitants of the city. According to Federico Villagr\u00e1n, head of operations 107 of the SAME, prior to the pandemic in the SAME performed about 200 to 800 daily care, however, during the pandemic, there was a significant increase in the need for emergency services, especially for medical care for COVID patients, so they now perform between 1,500 and 1,600 daily aid.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Following the need to improve the efficiency of services and provide specialized support, this agreement enabled the incorporation of new technologies, such as telemedicine into same mobile units. Among the new equipment is the Mobile Diagnostic Center (CDM), a telemedicine team, developed by the National University of Rosario and an Argentine technology company. It is a laptop that allows you to perform four studies, electrocardiogram of 12 derivations, measure blood pressure, blood oximetry and temperature.<\/p>

Through the CDM, health professionals can consult the studies remotely and consult the transmission of these in real time, in addition it is possible to make videoconferences so that the specialist communicates with the paramedic or the same patient. The agreement will last for three years, and during that period, both companies will continue to equip the SAME units, adapting to their needs with the aim of improving the coordination of mobile units and reducing response time to an emergency.<\/p>

Villagr\u00e1n recognized the benefits of incorporating telemedicine into mobile units: \u201cDepending on the situations we can add any type of specialist online to have a more measured criteria than what is happening to the patient and therefore assign it to the most appropriate place to solve its pathology\u201d.<\/p>

El Servicio de Atenci\u00f3n Medica de Emergencia (SAME), de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires realiz\u00f3 un acuerdo con Microsoft y una compa\u00f1\u00eda de tecnolog\u00eda argentina para equipar sus unidades m\u00f3viles. El SAME depende del Ministerio de Salud de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, y maneja las emergencias prehospitalarias o urgencias de los habitantes de la ciudad. Seg\u00fan Federico Villagr\u00e1n, jefe de operaciones 107 del SAME, previo a la pandemia en el SAME realizaban alrededor de 800 a mil 200 atenciones diarias, sin embargo, durante la pandemia, hubo un incremento notable en la necesidad de servicios de urgencia, especialmente para la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica para pacientes COVID, por lo que ahora realizan entre mil 500 a mil 600 auxilios diarios. Tras la necesidad de mejorar la eficiencia de los servicios y brindar apoyo especializado, este acuerdo permiti\u00f3 la incorporaci\u00f3n de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas, como la telemedicina a las unidades m\u00f3viles del SAME. Dentro del nuevo equipamiento, se encuentra el Centro de Diagn\u00f3stico M\u00f3vil (CDM), un equipo de telemedicina, desarrollado por la Universidad Nacional de Rosario y una compa\u00f1\u00eda argentina de tecnolog\u00eda. Se trata de una computadora port\u00e1til que permite realizar cuatro estudios, electrocardiograma de 12 derivaciones, medir la presi\u00f3n arterial, la oximetr\u00eda en sangre y la temperatura. A trav\u00e9s del CDM, los profesionales de salud pueden consultar los estudios de manera remota y consultar la transmisi\u00f3n de estos en tiempo real, adem\u00e1s es posible realizar videoconferencias para que el especialista se comunique con el param\u00e9dico o con el mismo paciente.  Para el funcionamiento del CDE, fueron entregadas seis notebooks y dos equipos de telemedicina para que los m\u00e9dicos realicen el monitoreo a distancia desde las instalaciones del SAME. El acuerdo tendr\u00e1 una duraci\u00f3n de tres a\u00f1os, y durante ese lapso, ambas compa\u00f1\u00edas continuar\u00e1n equipando las unidades del SAME, adapt\u00e1ndose a sus necesidades con el objetivo de mejorar la coordinaci\u00f3n de las unidades m\u00f3viles y reducir el tiempo de respuesta ante una emergencia. Villagr\u00e1n reconoci\u00f3 los beneficios de incorporar telemedicina a las unidades m\u00f3viles: \u201cSeg\u00fan las situaciones podemos sumar cualquier tipo de especialista de forma online para tener un criterio m\u00e1s acotado de lo que le est\u00e1 pasando al paciente y de esa forma destinarlo al lugar m\u00e1s apropiado para poder solucionar su patolog\u00eda\u201d. El uso de este tipo de tecnolog\u00edas beneficia la colaboraci\u00f3n entre el personal de salud y el personal de emergencia, ya que un paciente podr\u00e1 ser evaluado por un m\u00e9dico especialista antes de llegar al hospital.
