The public health system in Mexico has structural flaws that produce unequal treatment for those living in poverty, mainly for the indigenous population and for those living in rural areas of high social backwardness.<\/p>\n

1,059,956 surgeries have been performed<\/strong>, among which the following stand out:<\/p>


Pediatric<\/strong>: varicocele, testicular cord cysts, lymphagiomas and lipomas;<\/p>


Hand and foot<\/strong>: osteomuscular deformities of the hand and foot, sequelae of traumatic and congenital hand and compression of peripheral nerves of the hand, including carpal tunnel; and<\/p>

Cirug\u00edas Extramuros El sistema p\u00fablico de salud en M\u00e9xico presenta fallas estructurales que producen desigualdad de trato para quienes viven en condici\u00f3n de pobreza, principalmente para la poblaci\u00f3n ind\u00edgena y para quienes habitan en zonas rurales de alto rezago social. Ante ello, Fundaci\u00f3n Carlos Slim ha puesto en marcha el programa Cirug\u00eda Extramuros, que brinda atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica altamente especializada a la poblaci\u00f3n marginada del pa\u00eds para mejorar sustancialmente su calidad de vida.
