Tech company launches home exercise programs for seniors and pregnant women

Apple Fitness+ home exercise platform has begun offering new content focused on specific groups and their physical needs as well as being able to connect the tool with wearable devices.

On April 19 on the Fitness+ platform there were added new sections designed for pregnant women, older adults and beginners to exercise at home. "Apple Fitness+ is integrated with Apple Watch to build on the goal of helping people live a better day by being more active," said Jay Blahnik, senior director of technologies of Fitness Technologies.

This platform is the first fitness and activation service connected to a wearable. It offers high-intensity yoga workouts, strength training for beginners, among others. These types of workouts can be monitored through the different technologies of this technology company.

The service is offered through pre-recorded classes, which measure exercise times and provide information to users through the instructors.

The new exercises are focused on helping pregnant women to stay physically active during this stage, through strength training and others. On the other hand, the workouts for older adults aim to help users stay active and strong, improving characteristics such as flexibility, balance, mobility and coordination.
