Microsoft announces partnership with healthcare company to accelerate digital transformation

Microsoft and the US company CVS Health announced in early December the creation of an alliance focused on the development of innovative health solutions.

The alliance aims to accelerate and transform digitally to improve the health of consumers, in addition to providing better tools for the more than 300,000 employees of CVS Health.

According to a study by the Economist Intelligence Unit, transformation initiatives increasingly rely on digital tools, for example, remote work, mobile health applications, among others.

“We are rapidly transforming into a consumer-focused, integrated health solutions company by taking a digital-forward approach to everything we do,” said Roshan Navagamuwa, chief information officer, CVS Health. Another purpose of this alliance is to accelerate the work of digital technology so that employees can improve the quality of their care, achieving a more personal approach.

Some of the features of the strategy include the use of data science, omnichannel in CVS pharmacies, personalized health recommendations when required by consumers, use of learning and cloud services.

“We are excited to partner with CVS Health on their digital transformation journey, collaborating together on how the company manages health data at scale, improves the customer experience and drives operational efficiency,” said Judson Althoff, chief commercial officer of Microsoft. .
