In response to COVID-19, telehealth system began operating in Jujuy, Argentina

The Health System of Jujuy province in Argentina quickly started a Digital Health project in response to the pandemic.

The Ministry of Health prepared a telehealth method to provide remote medical assistance to the population of Jujuy, avoiding the need for transfers and contact times with possible cases of COVID-19.

Telemedicine services operate through the Zoom video conferencing platform, where users are served by health professionals. Attention hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM.

The teleconsulting services include three modalities, as they are not only focused for those who have symptoms of COVID-19. In addition to COVID-19 patient orientation consultations, two additional channels were enabled.

One of these channels is focused on providing general medicine consultations to the population that requires it, in the same way the channel was enabled to provide care in mental health. All of this is part of the Jujuy Government's Virtual Assistance program.
